On March 11, 2004, QCAE sponsored the first annual Night to Honor Israel. The purpose of this event is to extend our love and appreciation to the Jewish people and the state of Israel for their contribution to our faith. This night is a non-conversionary tribute to the nation of Israel and the Jewish people of the world. We gather together to promote esteem and understanding between Christians and Jews and to emphasize the things that we hold in common, rather than our religious differences.

Consider for a moment what the Jewish people have given to Christianity:

1. The Sacred Scripture
2. The Prophets
3. The Patriarchs
4. Mary, Joseph, and Jesus Christ of Nazareth
5. The Twelve Disciples
6. The Apostles

QCAE's decision to hold this event is based on Biblical text.

1. Genesis 12:3 - "I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed."
2. Jesus said in John 4:22, "Salvation is of the Jews."
3. St. Paul recorded in Romans 15:27, "For if the Gentiles have shared in their (the Jews) spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things."
4. Psalm 122:6, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that loveth thee."

There are many other scriptures that support Christians helping Jews and the state of Israel that are covered at the event.

The next Night to Honor Israel event will be on Thursday evening, October 30, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at the Adler Theater in Davenport, Iowa, with key note speaker, Dr. John Hagee.
