What is the Prayer Servant Network?

Prayer Servant Network (PSN) is a community prayer group that was started under the leadership of Quad Cities Association of Evangelicals (QCAE) and is now under the umbrella of the Quad Cities Prayer Center (QCPC). PSN has a variety of Christians from various churches that have made a commitment to pray weekly for the Quad Cities and surrounding areas.

PSN Mission: To serve the body of Christ by organizing prayer intercession that will invite the Lord Jesus Christ to change the hearts and minds of those who live in our community, that we become more pleasing to Him.

How do we follow the Mission? Our first and primary goal is to encourage believers in Christ to make a commitment to pray one hour a week for our community (this can be done a few minutes a day). For all those who have made that commitment, the PSN leadership will send out a letter once a month that will target community prayer needs.

We also have a variety of other opportunities for those who have additional time availabilities: We have a corporate community prayer time one hour before each Seek and Soak. Seek and Soaks are typically the 1st Friday of each month, 7:00 p.m., at Heritage Wesleyan Church, Rock Island.

Here are some additional things PSN has organized as God has led us:

  • Prayer Walks - groups walking at various locations in a city
  • Blessing Bearers - a group that goes out to pray over pastors and their staff members at local churches
  • Prayer for city officials and those in authority in a community

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. If I sign up for PSN, what am I committing to? To pray for 60 minutes a week for our community. This can be done in your home or at one of our meetings. We do not have to be at a meeting together to be in agreement in prayer. You may want to break down the commitment by praying ten minutes a day for six days.
  2. How will I know what to pray for? We will send you a letter or e-mail once a month that will contain prayer suggestions, or you may prefer to go to our website: www.qcae.org
  3. How many people have signed up to be a prayer servant through PSN, and how many churches do they represent? We have 132 prayer servants that represent forty-two churches.
  4. What are some of the prayer assignments of PSN?
    • For God to pour out the Holy Spirit on our community and bring revival
    • For God to release signs, miracles, and wonders in our community that will lead people to glorify and hunger for Jesus
    • For the Body of Christ in our community to reach a deeper level of maturity in their Christian walk
    • For the body of Christ to show the love of Jesus to unbelievers, as well as fellow believers
    • For our Heavenly Father to draw the hearts of unbelievers to a commitment in Christ
    • For the local Bible teaching churches and their leadership teams to be protected from spiritual attacks
    • For the principalities and powers that are under the enemy's rule to lose authority and power
    • For there to be such a holy spiritual climate over our cities that the gospel will advance and a fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom, be released in the minds and hearts of the people who live in our community
    • For the Christ-honoring ministries in the Quad Cities to be protected and released to all that Jesus desires to accomplish through them
    • For God to use our community to spread the gospel to our nation and the world
